By creating an account or using Remnant Locator, you agree to these Terms. If you're signing up on behalf of a shop, you agree to them on behalf of the shop and confirm you're authorized to do so.
01 Who we are
Remnant Locator is a service operated by Granite Resource Group LLC ("we", "us"), based in Canby, Oregon. The "Service" is the Remnant Locator mobile and web app and the website at remfind.com.
02 Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of your shop.
- One shop per business location, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done under your account.
- Shop owners can invite, remove, and manage members. Members can act on the shop's behalf inside the app.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access — support@remfind.com.
03 Subscription, trial, and billing
- Price. $40 per month per shop. Includes every member of the shop. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice.
- Billing. Your card is charged monthly. Charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time from inside the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
- Failed payment. If a charge fails, we'll retry and email you. After repeated failures we may suspend the account.
- Taxes. You're responsible for any applicable sales, use, or VAT taxes.
04 Acceptable use
Remnant Locator is for shops to source and offer remnants and related materials. Don't use it to:
- Post listings or requests you don't actually intend to fulfill.
- Misrepresent stone type, dimensions, condition, or pricing.
- Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
- Spam, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the rate limits or security of the Service.
- Impersonate another shop or individual.
- Use the Service in violation of any law, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights.
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access for violations — at our discretion and without prior notice when the situation calls for it.
05 Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post — listings, requests, photos, messages, comments. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service. This license ends when you delete the content, except that we may retain backups and de-identified copies for a reasonable period.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
06 Transactions between shops
Remnant Locator is a request engine — not a marketplace, escrow, or party to your deals. When you arrange a sale, pickup, or trade with another shop, that transaction is between the two of you. We don't take a cut, hold funds, or guarantee the quality, condition, or availability of any material. Disputes are between the shops involved.
07 Service availability
We aim to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features; perform maintenance; or take parts of the Service offline temporarily. We'll give reasonable notice for material changes when we can.
08 Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you agree to that policy.
09 Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our name, logos, or trademarks except to identify Remnant Locator in normal speech. The "Remnant Locator" name and logo may not be used for endorsements without our written permission.
10 Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that should survive — billing for unpaid amounts, content license for backups, disclaimers, limits on liability, and dispute resolution — survive.
11 Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that listings or shops are accurate, complete, current, or trustworthy. You use the Service at your own risk.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
13 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your dealings with other shops, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Oregon, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there.
15 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
16 Miscellaneous
- If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- You can't assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between you and us about the Service.
